Customs Clearance Process

  • Vessel arrives at port — vehicle offloaded to customs bonded area
  • Submit customs declaration with all documents (Bill of Lading, invoice, Intertek cert, passport)
  • AT assesses duties and taxes
  • Pay assessed amount at AT-approved bank (MZN cash or banker's cheque)
  • Obtain Customs Clearance Certificate
  • Collect vehicle from port
  • Register with provincial traffic department for number plates

  • Original Bill of Lading (showing chassis, engine, year, make, model)
  • Original Commercial Invoice
  • Certificate of Title and Registration (original)
  • Intertek PSI Certificate (mandatory)
  • Certified copy of passport
  • Driver's License and International Insurance (green card)
